Rev. Susan Hayes
Rev Susan Hayes has been Pastor at COTM since Nov 2020. A St Louis native Pastor Susan has served several churches in the PCUSA denomination as well as the United Church of Christ. She brings energy and enthusiasm to the preaching of the Gospel relying on shorter messages, humor and an informal, approachable leadership style. Rev Hayes received her Master of Divinity from Eden Seminary in 2007 and was ordained in 2008. She has a Bachelor of Social Work from UMSL and is a Certified Yoga Practitioner. Pastor Susan lives in Florissant with her husband, Bob; they have two daughters, two sons in laws and four grandchildren who fill their days with blessing and busy-ness.
Sue Kupfer
Sue Kupfer has served COTM as Director of Youth Ministry/Director of Family Ministry since 2001. She is a native of Florissant who grew up at COTM and has been blessed to be able to give back to the church what she received in her youth. Sue enjoys the long time connections to her former youth as they grow up and have their own families. Sue has committed to keeping her ministry skills vital and is currently charged with livestreaming the church worship service on Sunday morning. Sue and her husband, Bob, live in St. Charles. They have been blessed with two daughters and a son in law.
Tim Clark
Tim Clark has been serving as Director of Music at COTM since August of 2011. Tim grew up in St.Louis, he studied piano and organ privately. Tim has served Methodist and Catholic churches as a substitute organist. He also served a UCC church as assistant Organist, before coming to COTM in 2011. Tim also serves as Organist for Holy Infant RC Church in Ballwin, MO and St. Martin of Tours in Lemay, MO. Tim is active in the St. Louis Theatre scene. He was Music Director for SPOLIGHT! a Youth Musical Theatre Summer camp from 2017-2022, and frequents the orchestra pits of many productions in the area. Tim has also been the Institutional Organ Specialist for Rodgers Organs and Steinway Pianos since 2020. He also teaches in the music/theatre departments at Crestview Middle and Marquette, and Nerinx High Schools. Tim currently serves as a board member for the UCC Musicians Association.
Alison Simington
Alison Simington has been the secretary at Church of The Master since September 2021. She enjoys working at the church and especially meeting the members, neighbors and friends who visit our building. She enjoys talking to all of the wonderful people that come in for meetings, study, and fellowship. Alison is retired and enjoys working part time at the church. Her career was in the banking and human resource industry. Alison is originally from Lisburn Northern Ireland and moved to the US in 1969 with her parents. She and her husband of 28 years, Mark, have two grown sons and 2 grandsons. Alison loves to travel, cook, scrapbook, and fish.
Ted Tauser
Ted Tauser has been Custodian at Church of The Master since June 2003. He was raised in Florissant and attended COTM with his family as a child. Ted takes great pride in his work. The cleanliness and upkeep of our building is a reflection of the dedication and hard work of Ted. Ted’s twin brother, John, lent a hand on our floor upkeep for many years and now tends the lawn. Ted lives in Hazelwood with his wife, Pam, and daughter Holly.
